God has a flight plan that will take you into a beautiful sky of God’s promises. In 2007, Ernest, Loretta, Gloria, Ann, Rose, Agneta, Mark, Vicki, Bilinda and I were privileged to go to the biblical promised land; we had a flight plan to Israel. We flew from Denver to North Carolina, and then to New York. Then, we got onto an Areo Svit plane to Kiev, Ukraine, and the trip got a little rough. My seat was broken and I felt like I was in the passenger’s lap behind me. There was a crack in the ceiling and I could see the insulation above it. We had cramped leg space, unfriendly flight attendants, unhappy passengers, etc. We finally got to Tel Aviv, Israel and had a wonderful tour through the Holy Land. Returning from Israel, the last leg of our journey was on a Jet Blue airliner from New York, straight to Denver. On Jet Blue we had lots of leg room and were very comfortable. They gave wonderful snacks, the stewards were friendly and the flight was smooth. This morning, think of New Life Assembly of God as an airplane and ask, “Do we want to be an Areo Svit plane or a Jet Blue plane?” I think God wants us to be a Jet Blue airliner with a homebound flight plan for you and this church.
God’s Flight Plan: To get us Off of the Ground and Out of Egypt
God wants our church, New Life Assembly, to be a Jet Blue, safe, rescue operation to help people get unstuck, off the ground and out of slavery from spiritual Egypt – this dark world of lies, injustice, addictions, betrayals, etc. Even to this day, Christians in Egypt are persecuted, churches are burned down, people oppressed. May God bring a revival of love to Egypt and to our world. In the meantime, God wants our church to rescue people. God, give us a vision to be a Jet Blue airliner.
Exodus 19:3-5 (NIV) 3 Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: 4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine,
God wants to carry us on eagle’s wings to a happy life, happy, healthy families and a safe flight to heaven. A safe flight

God’s Flight Plan for You: He Doesn’t Plan for Us to Fly Alone. All those windows on the plane represent our families, our children, grandchildren, friends, coworkers and others flying with us. Jesus is the pilot and the pastor, church leaders and each of us are the copilots. The Holy Spirit trains us for a safe flight. All of us are pulling together. No one is spinning off at their own speed, taking the plane into the ditch. There is leg room-room for everyone’s gifts and talents. There is the comfort of the Holy Spirit on the journey home, to righteousness, peace and joy, in this life and the next.
Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV) 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
God’s Flight Plan for You: To soar on eagle’s wings with a team, a family. We’re created to be part of a divine family that includes Father God, Elder Brother Jesus and the personal coach, the Holy Spirit. It includes the New Life church family.
You are not alone. God has given us pastors, teachers, leaders, and people with every kind of gift and ability to help New Life Assembly defeat every spiritual enemy that comes against us from the world, the flesh and the devil.
Notice the team on the ground. Notice there is a pilot and a copilot. Jesus is the pilot, we’re the copilot. Our job is to cooperate with Jesus in getting home safe.
Off we go into the wild blue yonder, riding high into the sun, off we go into the wild blue yonder, into the safe, productive future God has for you and this church.
Hebrews 6:10 (NIV) God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Our Team is here to help you. You are helping us. God has not forgotten the good we are doing. Here is a picture of you and New Life launching into God’s future.
God has a flight plan to launch this church, and you with it, into greater faith, health, happiness and prosperity of every kind, and abundant life now and eternal life forever. Will you get on board with us, pull together with us, and head to God’s Promise Land and eternal home with us? If so, call on the name of Jesus and let us know you intend to fly with him and our church into the future God has for you.
